Frontend Tech Lead

PointFive was established by the founders of IntSights, which was acquired by Rapid7 in 2021. Our team includes leading tech and business experts with unmatched cloud expertise and the backing of Index Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Entree Capital, and Sheva Capital.

We are looking for our first Frontend Tech Lead to take ownership of the frontend architecture and developer experience across our platform. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead the technical direction of our frontend ecosystem while working hands-on with a strong and experienced engineering team.

You’ll help shape how our product is built, define frontend best practices, and drive the evolution of our application, infrastructure, and design system.

Job Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building modern web applications.
• Experience leading technical direction or mentoring engineers (Tech Lead or similar role).
• Strong expertise with React and TypeScript (must).
• Experience working with GraphQL-based architectures.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable frontend architectures.
• Experience building systems from scratch or in fast-moving startup environments.
• Strong product mindset and ownership - from concept to production.
• Excellent collaboration skills with engineering, product, and design teams.
  
  

• Full-stack experience with modern backend technologies.
• Experience building or maintaining design systems or frontend infrastructure.
• Familiarity with data-heavy or complex SaaS platforms.
  
  

• Own and lead the frontend architecture across the platform, including application structure, infrastructure, and development standards.
• Define and evolve our design system and UI foundations in close collaboration with product designers.
• Lead complex frontend initiatives using React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
• Build scalable, maintainable frontend systems that support a growing and evolving product.
• Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical leadership.
• Work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Continuously improve frontend developer workflows, tooling, and engineering practices.
• Support and elevate the frontend development across multiple product surfaces and teams.
