Senior Mechanical Engineer

Frisimos, a company that specializes in the development of production lines for advanced industry,

is looking to hire a senior mechanical engineer to design robotics-based machines and electro mechanical based mechanisms.

Responsibilities:

The job holder’s duties and responsibilities include any of the following:

• Design, develop and support manufacturing of mechanic systems
• Work to define specifications and trade offs in the design cycle
• Capable to design prototype assemblies and experiments as part of the design verification phase
• Provide engineering support to production
• The specifics of the mechanical sub systems include
• Robotic systems with multiple degrees of freedom
• Development of robotic control system for motion and multiple sensor inputs.
• Define electric motors and pneumatic components 
• Design and manufacturing or tools and jigs for other sub-assemblies
• Design of motion control actuators.
• Support external subcontractors in manufacturing considerations
• Support in developing maintenance guides for service team and user manuals

Skills and Experience:

These are only minimum qualifications for this position at this grade level.

Other factors are taken into consideration as well:

1. B.Sc or higher degree in mechanical engineering
2. 10 + years experience in practical hands on mechanical engineering design projects
3. Practical and hands on experience in Cad (preferred Solid Works expertise)
4. Hands on PDM - advantage
5. Team working capabilities
6. Good English for documentation and procedures

8. Experience with multidisciplinary projects
9. Experience in automation and with machines that preform million + cycles per year.
10. Experience in motion and control
