Data Analyst

An established Israeli Fintech startup is developing a groundbreaking platform that maps the "financial internet" to combat money laundering and tax evasion. Utilizing AI and Big Data, the company extracts and cross-references vast amounts of data from diverse web sources including cryptocurrency networks to deanonymize digital wallets and uncover complex fraud schemes for governments and law enforcement agencies globally.

Founded by veteran entrepreneurs and backed by top-tier global VCs, the company is currently in a significant growth phase following its Series B round.

The company is located in Central Israel (prime location near major transport hubs) and operates a hybrid work model with one day remote flexibility, emphasizing a strong work-life balance.

Role Overview:

• Founding Team Member: Joining a newly established data unit within the R&D department, reporting directly to the Data Team Lead.
• End-to-End Data Ownership: Taking full responsibility for the data lifecycle in an R&D environment from deep business flow analysis to defining Data Models and Flows.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Product teams to ensure the reliability and usability of the data powering the platform.
• Advanced Analytics: Developing methodologies for Data Validation and Anomaly Detection, identifying irregularities that directly influence product strategy and client decisions.
• Technical Execution: Utilizing Python, SQL, Spark, and Airflow to perform complex data analysis and drive actionable insights from massive datasets.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst – Mandatory.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL – Mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies: Spark, Airflow, or equivalent tools – Mandatory.
• Proven track record in analyzing complex data structures to identify trends and anomalies.
• Strong business orientation with the ability to translate technical findings into product-centric insights.
