Our Lab
We study the cancer cells that survive chemotherapy and lead to relapse, which we term persister cells. We focus on high-risk neuroblastoma, a pediatric tumor with 50% mortality rates, and seek novel small molecules and immunotherapies to prevent relapse.
Dr. Liron Grossmann is a physician-scientist at the pediatric Hematology-Oncology Department at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital, Sheba Medical Center and a visiting scientist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Scientist at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer. The Scientist will be responsible for conducting scientific research and experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and presenting findings. They will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Israel, USA and Germany and contribute to scientific publications and grant proposals. The Scientist will also participate in professional development activities and stay updated with the latest advancements in their field of study.
Qualifications
•PhD in life science with focus on cancer molecular biology with knowledge in immunology
•Experience in the following:
•cell culture
•flow cytometry
•Transfection and transduction using viruses, including CRISPR
•RNA and protein assays
•in vivo with mice models including administration of drugs via PO, IP and tail vein injections
•High communication and organization skills
