At FLO, we design and build next-generation machines that achieve unprecedented precision in the production of high-performance optical lenses. This puts us at the forefront of the industry, operating at the intersection of high-precision mechanics, advanced optics, and complex automation.

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our cross-disciplinary R&D team. The role involves designing high-precision electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and driving innovation in a challenging, multidisciplinary environment focused on sub-micron accuracy.

The position requires proven experience in pneumatics and automation systems, and design experience across diverse technologies such as machining, sand and pressure casting, aluminum extrusions, plastic injection molding, vacuum forming, sheet metal, and 3D.

Responsibilities

• Designing electromechanical, pneumatic and fully automation systems.
• Develop and implement system improvements and modifications.
• Manage multiple design activities and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new functionality into product development.
• Work closely with R&D groups, including Chemistry, Process, System, Control and NPI, to ensure alignment with process requirements and project goals.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of electromechanical design experience in multidisciplinary systems.

Required Skills

• Advanced SolidWorks knowledge.
• Proven experience in inkjet systems, digital printing, and drying processes.
• Hands-on capability.
• Proven expertise in various manufacturing technologies, pneumatic systems, and automation systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Working experience in multidisciplinary teams (Chemistry, Software, System and Electronics).
