Backend Developer (C#)

Location: Tel Aviv (Hybrid – 4 days working from home)

Working days: Monday–Friday

FMR develops end-to-end technological solutions for a wide range of organizations in the Israeli capital markets, including comprehensive systems, custom software, and unique financial models.

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join a leading technology division in the financial trading domain.

This is an opportunity to take part in building next-generation trading engines from scratch, as part of a strategic transition from legacy systems to the next generation of trading infrastructure.

In this role, you will collaborate with additional technology teams (S400 and Windows teams) and work on high-performance, mission-critical systems, using advanced technologies in on-premise environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop advanced Backend components as part of complex trading engines
• Rebuild and modernize core infrastructure and supporting services
• Work with Microservices architecture and distributed solutions
• Optimize performance, memory management, concurrency, and networking
• Collaborate with professional teams in an Agile development environment

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience, focusing on Backend systems and services
• Strong proficiency in C# and solid understanding of .NET Framework and .NET Runtime
• Familiarity with the Windows operating system (resource management, processes, memory, etc.)
• Experience with Microservices, REST APIs, OpenAPI, and distributed systems – a significant advantage
• Experience working with servers, algorithms, core infrastructure, processing engines, multithreading/multiprocessing, optimization, OOD, networking, and distributed systems
• Knowledge of additional languages such as C++, Python, or Java – an advantage
• Strong system thinking, learning ability, and independence
• Experience working in an Agile environment
