Jime Security is a deep-tech cybersecurity startup founded in 2025 and currently operating in stealth mode.

The company is developing a fundamentally new approach to runtime security, designed to ensure that even when systems are compromised, attackers cannot achieve meaningful impact. Inspired by the Japanese martial arts principle of precision over force, Jime focuses on governing runtime itself rather than relying solely on detection or perimeter defenses.

After more than a year of core idea development, Jime Security is now working closely with design partners and entering conversations with leading venture capital firms to scale the company and bring the technology to market.

Role Description

We are looking for an exceptional VP of Engineering to join as a key technical leader and help build the engineering organization from the ground up.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working close to the technology while building and scaling a high-caliber engineering team.

The role includes:

• Leading architecture and development of the core security platform

• Building and mentoring the engineering team as the company scales

• Driving product development from deep technical concepts to production systems

• Working closely with the founders, product, and design partners

• Establishing engineering culture, development processes, and technical standards

This is a foundational leadership role with significant impact on both the technology and the company.

The position is based in the Tel Aviv District (hybrid) with remote flexibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical depth with engineering leadership.

Preferred experience includes:

-Proven experience leading engineering teams in startup or high-growth environments

-Strong background in systems engineering or infrastructure-level software

-Experience building high-performance distributed systems or security platforms

-Deep familiarity with Linux internals, operating systems, or runtime environments is a strong advantage

-Experience with low-level technologies such as C/C++, Rust, eBPF, Fanotify, seccomp, LSM, or kernel security is highly valuable

-Strong product thinking and ability to translate complex technical ideas into scalable solutions

-Ability to attract, mentor, and grow exceptional engineering talent

Nice to have:

-Background in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure security

-Experience working with cloud-native environments (containers, Kubernetes, etc.)

-Prior experience building security products for enterprise environments
