Director of Learning and Development

Director of Learning & Development | Leading Industrial Organization | Central Israel

A large industrial organization is seeking an experienced Director of Learning & Development to lead and shape the company’s enterprise-wide learning strategy. This senior leadership role reports to the VP of Human Resources and is responsible for driving professional development, certification, and training initiatives across production, operations, logistics, and corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the organization’s Learning & Development strategy aligned with business and operational goals.
• Design and implement training, certification, and capability-building programs for production, operations, logistics, and HQ employees.
• Lead and manage the corporate L&D function, including managers, trainers, and subject matter experts.
• Drive cross-functional training initiatives, including implementation of new systems, technologies, and operational processes.
• Oversee and optimize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.
• Manage the annual L&D budget, external vendors, and training partners.
• Establish KPIs and evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with senior leadership, business unit heads, and operational stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field – required; Master’s degree – an advantage.
• Proven experience as a Learning & Development Director / Head of L&D / Organizational Development leader in a large organization – required.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or operational environments – required.
• Demonstrated success managing managers and large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong experience leading enterprise-wide projects and organizational change initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with LMS platforms and modern learning technologies.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic execution skills.
