Backend Team Leader

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Team Lead to join our group. In this role, you will guide a talented team of developers while remaining technically active in the code.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of backend developers.
• Take full ownership of the architecture, design, and ongoing maintenance of backend systems.
• Maintain a hands-on approach (approx. 30% of your time), including writing code, conducting code reviews, and resolving technical complexities.
• Work closely with cross-functional departments to achieve product goals.
• Build and maintain high-performance backend services using C#.
• Ensure data integrity and system performance by working efficiently with MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies.
• Design and manage secure, scalable, and efficient RESTful APIs.
  
  

• At least 2 years of proven experience in a managerial role leading development teams.
• Minimum of 6 years of active experience as a Backend Developer.
• Strong background in hands-on backend development with the ability to balance leadership and technical work.
• Solid knowledge and practical experience with MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
• Proven track record in designing and building robust RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with Git or similar version control tools.
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
  
  

• Extensive experience with C# and the .NET framework.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of software security best practices.
• Experience with performance tuning in high-traffic environments.
