Director of Engineering

Wanted: Director of Engineering for a New York–based AI platform company (full‑time remote with U.S. travel).

The chosen candidate will architect, deliver, and scale a sophisticated AI‑driven institutional platform, working closely with executive leadership and integrating complex financial data systems. FinTech experience is essential, as the role requires deep familiarity with financial products, institutional workflows, and data integrity at scale.

Job Responsibilities:

● Lead engineering and product delivery across the AI platform, including architecture, data integration, and institutional‑grade workflows

● Collaborate with executive leadership to embed engineering excellence into a high‑touch, white‑glove service model

● Design and integrate complex financial data systems into a unified ontology

● Tailor product solutions for institutional stakeholders: pensions, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, corporates

● Work directly with capital partners and clients to understand needs and iterate rapidly

● Build and scale the engineering and product organization, including hiring and mentoring

● Balance speed with rigor while ensuring reliability, security, and discretion

● Contribute to commercial momentum, contract wins, and long‑term platform strategy

Job Requirements:

● Mandatory FinTech industry experience delivering complex engineering and product systems in financial or institutional environments

● Proven track record working with large enterprises or financial institutions (e.g., $1B+ AUM, revenue, or market cap)

● Strong technical foundation across engineering, product, systems architecture, and financial data modeling

● Ability to integrate and reason across multiple financial datasets and ontologies

● High agency, proactive mindset, and ability to anticipate engineering and product needs

● Prior experience building and leading teams — or clear readiness to step into leadership

● Ability to travel to the United States for strategic meetings and on‑site collaboration
