Lead Software Engineer - Sogo / ViLOG | Israel

Sogo Services builds high-complexity, performance-critical systems for global clients and operates ViLOG (vilog.io), an AI-powered SaaS platform used by leading automotive and industrial players.  As AI reshapes software, Sogo and ViLOG are evolving toward AI-first systems, real-time analytics, and intelligent automation, all built on solid engineering foundations.

We’re looking for a 4+ year engineer ready to own architecture end-to-end, design cloud-native, distributed systems, and solve real production challenges.

You’ll do:

• Design scalable real-time systems, AI pipelines, and IoT platforms
• Solve performance bottlenecks across latency, cost, and reliability constraints
• Own system-level architecture and make critical trade-offs
• Collaborate directly with the CTO on AI and long-term tech strategy

Skills & Technical Expertise

• Strong CS fundamentals (concurrency, memory, networking)
• Proficiency in at least one modern language: Python, Go, Java, Node.js (ability to learn more)
• Strong SQL & data modelling skills

Experience & Mindset

• Proven track record of owning a major system or feature
• Product-minded: “Why before how”
• Independent but collaborative; prioritises robust, maintainable solutions over quick hacks

Example Projects

• Enhancing ViLOG’s analytics engine to process real-time operational data at scale
• Designing low-latency video pipelines with real-time Deep Learning for medical, logistics, and security use cases
• Developing GenAI and agentic systems for B2B/B2B2C data processing and analytics
