Development Team Lead

Leading global industrial company specializing in the development and manufacturing of engine components for the international market, with manufacturing operations and technological innovation centers in Israel and worldwide.

The Information Systems Department leads critical software and infrastructure solutions that support global-scale manufacturing, logistics, and organizational management processes.

Position Description

We are seeking a Hands-On Development Team Lead to strengthen the execution and delivery capabilities of the Information Systems Department. The role focuses on day-to-day management of the development team, hands-on coding, and leading the development and maintenance of software solutions based on predefined requirements and solutions, while establishing and implementing structured development methodologies. The position involves close collaboration with the Head of Information Systems, with a strong focus on execution, code quality, and well-defined work processes.

Responsibilities

• Leading a Development Team: Manage and lead a team of developers, defining and implementing structured development processes to improve efficiency and create standardization in both workflows and code.
• Agile Management: Implement and manage Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, capacity management, and estimation practices.
• Business–Technology Alignment: Work closely with the Head of Information Systems to understand goals, requirements, and predefined solutions. Translate business and technical requirements into actionable work plans, development tasks, and accurate implementation to ensure high-quality delivery of organizational needs.
• Delivery Management: Manage workflows and transparency using tools such as Monday and GitHub to increase predictability and delivery certainty.
• Technical Leadership: Implement and enforce architectural decisions while maintaining high development quality and adherence to defined standards.
• Innovation & AI: Integrate and implement AI-based tools and processes into development workflows and the team’s daily work to improve quality, efficiency, and delivery.

Required Experience

• Management Experience: At least 2 years of experience leading software development teams, with a focus on building and improving development processes. Relevant military leadership experience may be considered as an alternative, subject to suitability for a hands-on development role.
• Agile Expertise: Hands-on experience with Scrum and Kanban, including capacity planning, velocity measurement, and estimation techniques.
• From Requirements to Execution: Proven ability to break down predefined business and technical requirements into clear, structured development tasks and sub-tasks for effective implementation.
• Tools: Full proficiency in managing and configuring workflows in Monday (or similar tools), GitHub, and CI/CD environments.
• Technical Background: Strong hands-on software development experience, including work with Python, SQL Server, and C#.
• Process & Organizational Understanding: Experience or familiarity with enterprise information systems and business processes in an industrial environment (manufacturing, logistics, operations) – an advantage.

Communication: High level of English (written and spoken).
