Senior System Expert (Tier 3-4) | Infrastructure Core Team

One of Israel’s leading telecommunications and technology companies is expanding its Infrastructure team. We’re looking for a senior, hands-on System expert with broad technical ownership to join the core team responsible for system stability, high availability, data protection, and the adoption of advanced infrastructure technologies.

This role involves ownership of complex server environments, enterprise storage and backup platforms, Citrix infrastructures, and exposure to cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Server administration (Windows/Linux):
• Full ownership of Windows Server and/or Linux environments
• Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Identity Management
• Virtualization:
• Ongoing management, optimization, and upgrades of VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V
• Storage (SAN/NAS):
• Configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise storage platforms in production
• Working with vendors such as NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure (or equivalent)
• Backup & Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR):
• Ownership of enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.)
• Defining and enforcing backup policies, verifying restores, and ensuring DR readiness
• Citrix infrastructure:
• Administration and maintenance of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Remote access solutions, performance tuning, and user experience improvements
• Monitoring & automation:
• Working with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, SolarWinds
• Automation via scripting: PowerShell / Python / Bash
• Infrastructure projects & upgrades:
• Leading end-to-end infrastructure projects
• Version upgrades, implementation of new systems, and cross-team technical delivery
• Tier 3-4 escalation support:
• Deep troubleshooting of complex, cross-system incidents
• Root cause analysis and long-term preventive solutions

Requirements (Must Have)

• 5+ years as a System Engineer in an Enterprise environment
• Strong experience with Windows Server (including Exchange, IIS) and/or Linux
• Proven hands-on Citrix experience (admin + maintenance) - mandatory
• Deep experience with enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) and backup platforms
• Strong experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Solid networking knowledge required for System work:
• VLANs, VPN, Routing
