System Engineer – Automotive Computer Vision Solutions

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Imaging and Perception Systems Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge in-car product systems and solutions. In this role, you will leverage your systems engineering expertise to design, specify, integrate, and validate complex systems for the automotive industry. You will also be part of developing solution architectures and evaluating technologies. You will work closely with our US-based team to ensure seamless collaboration and successful product delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Define, analyze, and translate customer requirements into system requirements specific to in-car products and algorithm development, adhering to automotive industry standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive system architecture for the in-car product, ensuring optimal integration of algorithms, software, hardware and mechanical components.
• Create detailed system requirements and technical specifications for deep learning based computer vision algorithms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product development goals.
• Act as technical contact, providing solutions-oriented support to customers and resolving technical issues.
• Act as a solution architect building solutions based on GTI and 3rd party algorithm building blocks, closely working with the product management team.
• Lead validation concept development and act as technical guide for the validation team’s detailed planning and execution. Lead root-cause analysis at product validation, combining project and product perspectives.
• Participate in technical discussions and provide guidance to ensure clear communication and knowledge transfer between the local and global teams.
• Stay current on automotive advancements and regulatory requirements.

What Are We Looking For:

• BSc in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Computer, or a relevant field)
• 5+ years of proven experience in multidisciplinary systems engineering and product development.
• Experience in Aerospace/Medical industry is an advantage.
• Experience in the Automotive industry is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience in solution engineering, with a focus on customer-oriented solutions and technical support.
• Track record in writing system requirements documents for computer vision algorithms-based products.
• Experience with product grade development process.
• Experience with automotive development processes and industry standards and regulations is an advantage.
• Knowledge of computer vision algorithms and techniques, such as deep learning, machine learning and classical computer vision.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on achieving optimal system performance and safety.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to foster effective teamwork across geographical boundaries.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Fluent English for collaboration with the US team.
