Our main Engineering challenges at Teads

• Build efficient and easy-to-use web products used by thousands of users working for the world’s most premium publishers, advertisers, and agencies.
• Rich and diverse tech stack and system architecture to optimize for performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency. We use mostly Scala and TypeScript, among others.
• Working in a very high-traffic environment (2.2 billion users per month, 100 billion events per day) with low latency and high availability constraints (2 million requests per second, responses in less than 150 milliseconds).
• Management of large datasets with milliseconds order of magnitude access time, to compute in a near real-time complex auction resolution algorithm (18 million predictions per second).
• A fast-changing environment where we continuously collaborate with Product teams and constantly adapt our Cloud infrastructure for new features and Products.
• Bring a wide diversity of profiles to the same level of quality and knowledge
• Work in an international environment with offices located in Israel, Slovenia and France.

About The Opportunity

Teads, a global leader in the digital advertising space, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data Group for a temporary period (approx. 12 months).

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned engineer to step directly into a high-scale environment, take ownership of critical data pipelines, and work with a cutting-edge modern data stack. We are looking for a proactive professional who can hit the ground running, energized by turning raw, complex data into clear, data-driven strategies.

If you are a resourceful engineer who excels both independently and as part of a collaborative team, and you are looking for an impactful interim role, we encourage you to apply.

What will you do?

• End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of the data lifecycle during this period, from gathering business requirements to implementing and maintaining robust ETL processes in production.
• Modern Data Engineering: Design and maintain scalable solutions using Python, Scala, Airflow, and dbt to enhance our data infrastructure.
• Innovation & AI: Leverage Generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLMs) to optimize development workflows, code quality, and documentation.
• Data Modeling: Translate complex business needs into efficient data models within our Data Warehouse (BigQuery), ensuring high availability and accuracy.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and Analysts to understand goals and ensure data solutions align with business needs.
  
  

What will you bring to the team?

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of proven experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing.
• Excellent proficiency in SQL (Complex queries, joins, performance tuning) – Mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and adapt to existing workflows ("Hit the ground running").
