About the Role:
Cal Platform is hiring a hands-on Technical Solutions Team Lead (80% hands-on, 20% leadership) to manage two tech solutions specialists and ensure the operational excellence of our fintech platform. The role includes advanced troubleshooting, use of automation and AI tools, close collaboration with R&D, and support for business clients and internal SaaS systems in an AWS-based environment.
- Lead and mentor two tech solutions specialists, including task management and handling escalations.
- Troubleshoot issues across application, integration, and cloud layers.
- Use automation tools and AI mechanisms to build and configure support workflows that reduce manual work and improve response times.
- Work closely with R&D developers to analyze logs, reproduce issues, and validate fixes.
- Support internal SaaS systems such as Slack, Zendesk, PagerDuty, Coralogix, and Google Workspace.
- Configure PagerDuty alerts, escalation policies, and incident playbooks.
- Run scripts and database queries for diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
- Apply business understanding of payment services, card logic, and banking flows.
- Improve monitoring, documentation, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience managing technical staff.
- 5+ years in a technical, hands-on role with strong troubleshooting skills.
- High technical orientation including scripting, API usage, and log analysis.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud-native environments.
- Familiarity with SaaS tools such as Slack, Zendesk, PagerDuty, and Coralogix.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach.
- Business understanding of payments and financial processes, or the ability to learn them quickly.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, or Postman.
- Background with automation or AI tools for operational support.
- Knowledge of fintech compliance such as PCI DSS or GDPR.
- Experience working with CI/CD or DevOps workflows.
