We are hiring a Chief Public Transportation Planner for a senior, strategic role at the core of public transport planning and operations in Israel’s central region.

This role leads complex projects, works across multiple stakeholders, and drives end-to-end public transportation initiatives from planning to implementation.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage public transportation planning projects
• Oversee work plans and complex, multi-interface processes
• Work with public transport operators, public bodies, and planning authorities
• Analyze, monitor, and support projects from planning through implementation
• Apply systems thinking and big-picture perspective
• Full accountability for accurate, high-quality deliverables

Mandatory Requirements (Critical)
• Academic degree from a recognized Israeli institution
or a foreign degree officially recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Education
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience (since January 1, 2015)
• Proven experience in at least 4 of the following areas:
• Public transport line planning (routes & timetables)
• Handling public inquiries related to public transportation
• Defining programmatic needs for operational infrastructure
• Transport justification analysis for priority corridors
• Analysis of statutory zoning plans from a public transport perspective
• Literature reviews in public transportation
• Supporting and implementing operational changes with transport operators
