Mechanical Engineer – Full-Cycle Product Development (Electro-Optics)

We’re expanding our R&D team and looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end development of advanced electro-optical systems. This role offers full ownership of products from concept through production, including deep technical challenges, hands-on design, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle mechanical development — from concept, prototyping, validation, and ECO processes through release to production.
• Drive continuous product evolution, including new generations, design modifications, and resolution of field issues.
• Design, prototype, and test mechanical assemblies while optimizing for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
• Own multiple projects simultaneously, solving complex mechanical challenges with creativity and independence.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, production-ready
• solutions for demanding applications.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc. – advantage).
• 4+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial, electro-optical, or complex system environments.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and strong CAD fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing technologies: CNC machining, sheet metal, mold design, additive manufacturing (3D printing).
• Experience in EMI-compliant design, optics integration, sealing techniques, and thermal management.
• Strong understanding of mechanical components (motors, gears, seals) and material selection.
• Background in motion systems — defining, evaluating, and selecting complex actuation mechanisms.
• Experience designing for harsh environments, from early concept through full production.
• Familiarity with military standards, especially MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.
• Self-starter mindset — proactive, independent, and able to drive projects forward end-to-end.
