Senior Backend Engineer (Cloud & Infrastructure)

We are looking for a unique Senior Backend Engineer who bridges the gap between powerful infrastructure and scalable, maintainable application architecture. You are as comfortable managing Kubernetes clusters as you are architecting complex server-side logic and ensuring long-term code health. In this role, you will own the full lifecycle: designing robust RESTful architectures, orchestrating containers via Kubernetes, and building systems that are as resilient as they are efficient.

• End-to-End Development: Design and develop high-performance web applications with a focus on high availability architectures and disaster recovery scenarios.
• API Architecture: Architect and implement secure, efficient, and well-documented REST APIs.
• Infrastructure & Orchestration: Manage containerized environments using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm (including deployment, scaling, and health monitoring).
• Maintainable Design: Ensure the backend codebase is modular, well-tested, and built for long-term evolution and scalability.
• DevOps Culture: Automate CI/CD pipelines while maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and consistency.
• System Design: Lead the transition and maintenance of microservices architectures and backend design patterns.

• Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in Backend development.
• Container Orchestration: Must-have hands-on production experience with Kubernetes.
• Backend Expertise: Proficiency in modern server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Rust.
• API Proficiency: Deep understanding of REST principles and complex integration patterns.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Architecture: Proven experience in Microservices architecture, design patterns, and writing maintainable, clean code.
• Location: Ability to work 3 days a week from our Herzliya office.
