Position Overview

AIR is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our growing aerospace engineering team. This role is a key position in the design, development, and integration of advanced eVTOL aircraft systems. The ideal candidate brings deep mechanical design expertise, strong hands-on aeromechanical experience, and a proven track record in multidisciplinary aerospace environments.

Requirements (Must Have)

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – required
• 5–10+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design
• Proven experience in aeromechanics, including interaction between aerodynamic loads, structures, and mechanical systems
• Mandatory experience in the aerospace industry, specifically aviation and/or eVTOL programs
• Strong background in multidisciplinary system development
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineers, either in a technical or people-management role
• High-level analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ownership mindset

Advantages (Preferred)

• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Experience with thermal analysis and heat transfer
• Knowledge of composite materials, aluminum structures, and aerospace-grade materials
• Experience with material fatigue, structural durability, and lifecycle analysis
• Background in certification-driven aerospace development environments

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of aircraft structures and mechanical subsystems
• Perform and support aeromechanical analyses, including load paths, structural response, and aero-structure interactions
• Conduct trade studies considering aerodynamic, mechanical, thermal, and structural constraints
• Collaborate closely with system, avionics, propulsion, and manufacturing teams
• Support design reviews, testing campaigns, and certification-related activities
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, contributing to the team’s technical excellence
