Technical Support Engineer (TSE) – Pendo
About the Role:
Technical Support Engineers (TSEs) are a small, talented, and dedicated global team that plays a key role in the Pendo experience. By providing expert guidance and consulting to customers, TSEs ensure success across Pendo’s web and mobile features as part of the Engineering organization. While the entire company is customer-focused, TSEs turn customers into champions by delivering a professional and accurate technical support partnership.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries through the support queue.
- Serve as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams.
- Debug customer issues, create reproducible test cases for developers, and validate fixes and workarounds.
- Take ownership of cases, ensuring resolution in collaboration with developers.
- Contribute to knowledge documentation, both internally and for customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role.
- 2+ years of experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and/or Mobile Development.
- Applied coding knowledge (Front-End or API).
- Conversational fluency in spoken and written English.
- Proven commitment to continuous learning in technology (computer science degree, coding bootcamp, or relevant courses).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly empathetic with a passion for helping others.
- Reliable and active team player.
- Ability to learn technical concepts and translate them into business solutions for customers.
Mobile Experience (Preferred):
- Basic knowledge of Android and iOS (Java, Swift/Objective-C).
- Understanding of SDK app lifecycle.
- Familiarity with MVVM modules in iOS and Android, Android Activities, and iOS UIViewControllers.
- Bonus: Knowledge of Native frameworks for each OS and React Native.
