Assistant Financial Controller

A highly successful and well-established company in the automotive sector (subsidiary of a leading publicly traded group) is seeking an Assistant Controller to join its finance department.

This is a key role that reports directly to the company Controller and offers broad ownership across core financial operations.

The finance division is currently undergoing a fast digital transformation, including implementation and optimization of automated workflows. We are looking for someone who can drive digital processes, improve work methods, and streamline operations within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and oversight of the bookkeeping team, including professional guidance.
• Responsibility for operational finance workflows and day-to-day processes.
• Ongoing work with external auditors throughout the quarter and fiscal year.
• Period-end closing activities, monthly reconciliations, and balance sheet controls.
• Leading digital initiatives, including system implementation, troubleshooting, and process automation improvements.

Requirements:

• CPA with at least 1 year of experience in a similar organization,
• Proven experience managing at least 4 team members.
• Experience in monthly closing and balance sheet reconciliations.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
