Application Support Engineer

Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring an Application Infrastructure Support Engineer for a leading organization in Petah Tikva

Job Description:

Providing technical support for the CONNX product, including ongoing maintenance of synchronization processes and system integrations.

The role involves building and loading system configurations, performing testing through production deployment, supporting production environments, managing upgrades, and handling incidents.

Responsibilities include working closely with internal development and DBA teams, as well as external vendor support (SAG), installing and upgrading system components across environments on Red Hat Linux servers, and maintaining structured, documented workflows.

Additional responsibilities:

• Writing technical documentation, including process documentation, task tracking, alerts, and incident response procedures
• Deep learning and specialization in the product technology
• Collaboration within a professional infrastructure team and reporting to the Infrastructure Team Lead

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of basic knowledge in Adabas databases and Natural programming – mandatory
• At least 2 years of basic knowledge in Oracle DB and SQL (SELECT statements) – mandatory
• At least 2 years of experience working with Linux systems – mandatory
• Experience working with Windows-based applications
• Ability to work closely with development and infrastructure teams
• Strong organizational skills and a structured, well-documented working approach
