We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our core engineering team.

You’ll design, build, and scale the services that power Slice’s core product - working on complex data models, distributed systems, and backend architecture that drive automation across multiple jurisdictions.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js (NestJS) and Prisma ORM.
• Build data-intensive APIs and microservices that integrate with frontend and AI layers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features from concept to production.
• Ensure scalability, security, and reliability across systems.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and perform peer reviews.

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong experience in Node.js and relational/non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture and API design.
• Experience with Docker, GCP, and CI/CD workflows.
• Deep knowledge of system design, performance optimization, and data modeling.

• Familiarity with Prisma ORM in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with NestJS or other structured Node.js frameworks.
• Exposure to large-scale SaaS architectures.
• Interest in fintech, compliance, or enterprise data systems.
