Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring a SOC Team Leader for a major defense organization in the Shfela region

Role Overview:

A leadership position managing a team of cybersecurity analysts operating in shifts. The role includes operational oversight, professional development, advanced incident investigation, and continuous improvement of SOC processes and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and mentor a SOC team across varying seniority levels.
Oversee real-time monitoring, detection, and incident response activities.
Conduct deep-dive analysis of complex cyber events and guide digital forensics investigations.
Improve processes, documentation, and operational methodologies on an ongoing basis.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across the organization.
Analyze threat trends and recommend enhancements to strengthen cyber defense.
Ensure full operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and high service levels.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
Minimum 1 year of experience managing staff.
Hands-on experience with SIEM technologies and automation development.
Strong understanding of communication protocols, operating systems, and cyberattack techniques.
Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and security (networks, servers, applications).
High-level English (spoken and written).
Experience in large or global organizations is an advantage.
Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR is an advantage.
