Position Title:

Senior System & Networking Expert

Job Description:

For one of Israel’s leading companies in the communication and technology sector, we are seeking an experienced System Expert with a strong Networking background to join the organizational IT and Infrastructure team. The role involves full responsibility for managing, maintaining, and optimizing server environments, cloud infrastructure, and network systems, with a focus on high availability, performance, and information security.

The candidate will be a key player in the core infrastructure team and will participate in strategic projects for a large-scale, complex organization that integrates advanced System, Networking, and Automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and upgrade Windows Server / Linux environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, WSUS, and more.
• Manage and maintain virtualization infrastructures: VMware vSphere / Hyper-V.
• Design, maintain, and optimize communication infrastructures: LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, Routing, Switching.
• Manage network devices (Switches, Firewalls, Routers) from leading vendors such as Cisco, Fortigate, Juniper, Palo Alto.
• Analyze complex incidents and provide Tier 3–4 level support.
• Utilize monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, SolarWinds.
• Write procedures, document systems and configurations, maintain knowledge bases, and train technical teams.
• Lead cross-organizational technological projects in System, Networking, and Security domains.
• Develop automation processes and scripts to optimize daily operations (PowerShell / Bash / Python).
• Collaborate with Information Security, Cloud Infrastructure, and DevOps teams.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technological field – advantage.

Professional Certifications:

• At least one of the following is required: MCSA / MCSE / CCNA / CCNP / VMware VCP.
• Advantage: Fortinet NSE / Palo Alto PCNSE / CompTIA Network+ / Linux+.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in System administration within an Enterprise environment or a large technology organization.
• Significant experience managing Windows and/or Linux environments (including AD, Exchange, IIS, DNS).
• Strong Networking background: design and implementation of complex communication architectures, Routing & Switching, VLAN and Firewall management.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V) and storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
• Experience working with Cloud environments (Azure / AWS) – advantage.
• Proven experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible) – major advantage.
• Experience working with advanced monitoring and control systems.
