System Operations Manager

Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring an experienced System Operations Manager to join a leading financial organization based in Center District

Position Overview

We are looking for a hands-on operations leader to manage the organization’s business process control center, oversee production environments, and ensure stability, availability, and efficiency across critical systems.

The role includes managing end-to-end monitoring and operational workflows, supporting system integrations with business partners, and leading improvements in automation, delivery, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate the enterprise control room, ensuring continuous monitoring and operation of business processes.
• Oversee and support technical integrations and partner connections across multiple technologies.
• Provide first-line production support and coordinate resolution of cross-system issues.
• Supervise product deployments and transitions from development/testing to production environments.
• Lead delivery process improvements including automation, KPIs, monitoring, and system reliability.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking release quality, response times, availability, and performance.
• Manage incident response and post-event analysis to identify root causes and prevent future issues.
• Collaborate with internal technical, business, and infrastructure teams to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a control room/operations center in a medium-to-large organization (advantage for experience in the financial sector).
• Proven experience providing technical support to business clients.
• Basic understanding of servers, operating systems, communication components, and databases.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues and understand end-to-end business processes.
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries
• Proven management experience
• 24/7 availability for critical system support
