Oracle Database Administrator

Role Overview

We’re seeking an Applicative DBA with strong Oracle performance & tuning expertise and excellent SQL skills. You’ll drive query/performance optimization, shape data best practices, and partner with architects, analysts, and developers across a high-throughput platform.

You’ll also get exposure to modern data tech such as Kafka and Elasticsearch.

What You’ll Do

• Own Oracle performance & tuning (schemas, queries, PL/SQL, indexing, execution plans).
• Improve query efficiency; establish best practices for complex procedures and data access patterns.
• Author complex reports/queries and reusable SQL/PLSQL components.
• Support & guide data analysts on modeling, queries, and performance.
• Collaborate with architecture to influence DB design and data flows (capacity, partitioning, retention).
• Partner with engineering to ensure reliable, scalable data operations in production.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Applicative DBA + Oracle + SQL (Mandatory).
• 3+ years writing complex SQL/PL/SQL queries and optimizing performance on Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with execution plans, indexing strategies, statistics, and query tuning.
• Strong analytical mindset; ability to troubleshoot production issues end-to-end.
• Self-learner, comfortable owning initiatives and proposing improvements.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Elasticsearch (queries, indexing, performance).
• Exposure to Kafka or event-driven data pipelines.
• Experience supporting BI/Analytics teams (reporting, governance, data quality).
