About the role

As a Product Manager at ShipIn, you’ll lead the development of a brand-new product line in commercial cargo operations - from concept to launch and scale. This is a unique opportunity to build a product from the ground up in an emerging business area for ShipIn, shaping how cargo operators manage performance and efficiency through data and technology.

You’ll be responsible for driving product discovery, defining the MVP and roadmap, and working closely with engineering, design, and commercial teams to deliver a solution that creates measurable value for shipping customers. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a builder’s mindset: curious, entrepreneurial, and comfortable navigating ambiguity to bring new ideas to life.

Reporting to the VP of Product, this role plays a pivotal part in defining ShipIn’s next growth chapter and expanding our impact across the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product discovery for ShipIn’s new commercial cargo offering, from identifying customer problems to defining the MVP.
• Conduct market research and customer interviews to validate hypotheses and shape the product’s value proposition.
• Build and own the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with engineering, design, and commercial stakeholders.
• Define pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy in collaboration with the leadership team.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, analytics, and sales to ensure product readiness and successful adoption.
• Establish success metrics (adoption, ROI, performance improvement) and iterate based on user feedback.
• Act as the internal product champion, communicating vision, strategy, and milestones across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in SaaS or data-driven B2B products.
• Proven experience leading zero-to-one or new product discovery initiatives.
• Background in maritime, logistics, or industrial operations is a strong advantage.
• Experience launching and iterating enterprise analytics or operational platforms.
• Strong technical acumen and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Data-driven decision maker with experience leveraging BI insights and KPIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Logistics, or related); advanced degree is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, and strong ownership over outcomes.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
