System Administrator/ IT Manager, Global Finance Company

Our client is a global investment firm established for over 20 years, managing multi‑billion-dollar investments, operating from offices in the UK, Europe, the USA, APAC. The company is now establishing a new presence in Israel and is hiring a hands-on technology leader to establish and manage the IT operations for their new office.

About the Role

As the first technology hire in Israel, the IT Manager establishes and leads IT operations for the branch while providing support to senior executives and managers, ensuring uninterrupted access to critical systems and rapid resolution of technology issues affecting trading and leadership operations. The role oversees local IT infrastructure and office technology, ensuring all processes and systems are aligned with the company’s global standards, provides escalation support for complex issues, manages vendor relationships, and delivers personalized VIP support to executives when required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point and technology lead in establishing and managing the IT infrastructure and office technology for the new office in Tel Aviv, including networking, cabling, desktops, workstations, and meeting room setups, to ensure a fully functional and efficient office environment.
• Act as the primary technology partner for senior executives, managers, and portfolio specialists, providing support to ensure uninterrupted productivity, rapid resolution of issues, and high-quality service within strict 30-minute SLA standards.
• Manage and maintain the IT environment, including hardware, software, licenses, and endpoints to ensure reliable operations
• Coordinate with local vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery, installation, and maintenance of technology and office systems.
• Act as the escalation and expert focal point for complex technical issues, collaborating with global IT teams to diagnose, resolve, and implement long-term improvements.
• Support enterprise user computing initiatives, drive root cause analysis of recurring issues, and implement process improvements to enhance overall IT operations.
• Set up and manage technology and facilities to support trade floor operations

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on desktop IT support experience within a financial services environment (investment banking, hedge funds, asset management or similar).
• Experience supporting senior or executive users under high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions.
• Experience supporting Bloomberg terminals and other market data applications in a trading environment.
• Strong technical expertise with Windows OS, Microsoft 365 and Office Suite administration.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS) and IT security principles.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure, including hardware lifecycle, workstations, laptops/desktops, meeting room setups, and office IT systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, endpoint management, and ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
• Experience coordinating with external vendors and third-party service providers
• Experience with ITIL principles or disciplined, checklist-driven IT operations.
