Technical Product Manager – Programmatic Advertising

About the Role

A fast-growing ad-tech organization is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead product development for its full-scale programmatic advertising exchange. The company partners with top publishers, SSPs, DSPs, and technology providers to deliver high-performance digital advertising across banner, video, native, in-app, and CTV environments.

As the first product manager reporting to the Head of Product, you will drive product strategy, roadmap, and execution across exchange infrastructure, publisher integrations, and demand-side connectivity. This role requires a strong technical background and deep understanding of the programmatic ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Define and own the product roadmap for exchange, publisher, and demand-side integrations

Collaborate with SSPs, DSPs, and other ecosystem partners to ensure seamless interoperability

Prioritize features that enhance performance, scalability, and operational efficiency

Analyze operational and monetization data to identify optimization opportunities and detect issues in real-time flows

Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to internal teams and external partners

4+ years of experience in programmatic advertising or ad-tech product management

Strong understanding of OpenRTB, Prebid.js, and header bidding environments

Hands-on, proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership

Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and debugging tools (Chrome DevTools, Postman, etc.)

Experience working with publishers, SSPs, DSPs, and other data/tech partners

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Proven ability to translate business objectives into detailed technical specifications
