The Opportunity 

We're seeking a passionate Product Manager to shape the future of industrial data quality and drive the next phase of APERIO's growth. In this high-impact role, you'll define product strategy for a rapidly expanding market where poor data quality costs enterprises millions annually in operational inefficiencies, safety risks, and lost opportunities. 

You'll help define the product roadmap for APERIO DataWise and own its execution, working at the intersection of AI/ML, Agentic AI, industrial IoT, and enterprise SaaS to solve critical challenges for some of the world's largest industrial operations. This role combines strategic product leadership—influencing market direction, shaping customer value propositions, and driving business growth—with hands-on execution alongside R&D and UX teams to deliver exceptional products.

What You'll Do 

Product Ownership & Execution 

• Write detailed PRDs, user stories, and technical specifications that guide development from concept to launch 
• Work embedded with R&D teams daily: sprint planning, standups, backlog grooming, and scope decisions during development 
• Collaborate closely with UX on user research, wireframes, and design reviews to deliver intuitive experiences 
• Own product backlog prioritization based on customer value, business impact, and technical dependencies 
• Make real-time trade-off decisions on scope, timelines, and release readiness 
• Define success metrics and KPIs; monitor performance and drive continuous improvement 

Customer & Market Focus 

• Conduct research with industrial data owners, operators, and data scientists to understand workflows and pain points 
• Translate complex requirements into clear product specifications and actionable design requirements 
• Build relationships with key customers and design partners to validate product direction 
• Analyze usage patterns, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to inform roadmap decisions 
• Support Sales and Customer Success with product positioning, demos, and strategic account engagement 

Strategy & Leadership 

• Help define and execute product roadmap for APERIO DataWise, balancing customer needs and market opportunities 
• Identify and prioritize high-impact features that drive adoption, retention, and expansion 
• Partner with leadership, Marketing, and Data Science teams to shape product strategy and go-to-market plans 
• Stay current on trends in Agentic AI, AI/ML, industrial automation, and data observability to identify new opportunities 

What We're Looking For 

Required 

• 4+ years of B2B SaaS product management experience, preferably in data infrastructure, analytics, or industrial software 
• Proven experience writing PRDs, user stories, and technical specifications 
• Strong track record working embedded with engineering teams in agile/scrum environments 
• Experience collaborating with UX designers to deliver user-centered products 
• Strong analytical and prioritization skills (RICE, value vs. effort matrices, weighted scoring) 
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences 
• Demonstrated ability to balance data-driven decisions with qualitative insights 

Preferred 

• Domain expertise in industrial operations, IoT, time-series data, or data quality/observability platforms 
• Technical background (engineering, data science, UX design) or deep technical fluency 
• Experience with AI/ML products or data science teams 
• Familiarity with industrial protocols, process historians (PI System, PHD), or SCADA systems 
• Enterprise customer experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, or process industries
