R&D Engineering Manager

As a technical leader, you will be responsible for leading engineers across a distributed team, fostering innovation, and delivering enterprise-grade AI-powered solutions. You'll be part of the TSG R&D leadership team, bringing business perspective from the field while driving technological excellence in our mission of safeguarding maritime domains with AI technology that makes the right action easy, empowering responsible governance and secure global trade for a better world.

What will you do?

• Lead Engineers: Manage and mentor engineers across multiple locations (Israel and India), supporting teams across diverse technology stacks
• People Management: Be accountable for team members' technical skills, career growth, motivation, retention, and happiness
• Drive Product Excellence: Lead development and delivery of enterprise-grade GenAI solutions, partnering with internal stakeholders and customers
• Strategic Leadership: Bridge business needs from the field with technological vision, driving both short-term wins and long-term strategy
• Build Team Culture and Driving Change: Foster continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional development across the organization

Who are you?

• Proven Management Experience: 3+ years of engineering management experience, successfully leading development teams of at least 5 engineers
• SaaS R&D Expertise: Deep experience building and shipping enterprise SaaS products at scale, including familiarity with CI/CD practices and at least one of the major cloud providers
• Agile Mindset: Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with Agile Coaches and Empowered Teams as a manager or as an individual contributor
• Global Team Experience: Experience working in distributed teams across different time zones and cultures
• Growth Oriented: Passionate about mentoring engineers and building high-performing teams
• Technical Leadership: Strong technical background across multiple stacks throughout career with familiarity in backend (data pipelines and services) and frontend (UI) development and modern software development practices
• GenAI Track Record: Proven experience shipping enterprise products involving Generative AI technologies to customers and applying it as part of the development process
• Enterprise Focus: Understanding of enterprise customer needs, security requirements, and compliance considerations
