Engineering Manager

A startup in the AI domain has developed a video platform that enables company employees to create training videos for internal applications as part of the company’s knowledge base.

The product operates via a browser plugin, allowing users to record their screen while performing tasks and explaining processes. The platform then analyzes the video and segments it into the individual steps performed.

The company is based in Tel Aviv (near the train and light rail), operating a hybrid model with 2 days remote (Monday and Wednesday). It has 50 employees, half in R&D, with35 in Israel.

Following an expanded Series A, the company raised $30M and is experiencing rapid growth, with numerous clients in the Israeli high-tech sector and 4x revenue growth over the past 12 months.

The role-

• Manage a team of 6 developers (3 Backend, 3 Frontend)
• Oversee teams in Israel and Ukraine
• Report to the VP of R&D
• Conduct ~30% hands-on development
• Tech stack: Node.js, React, TypeScript, GCP, MongoDB, Microservices

Requirements-

• 3 years of managerial experience leading teams of 5–10 developers - mandatory
• 6 years of Backend development experience, including 3+ years in Node.js, with 50% hands-on coding over the past 2 years – mandatory
• Experience with Public Cloud – mandatory
• High-level English proficiency
• Experience in a startup company – mandatory
• Frontend experience with React
• Microservices experience – mandatory
• Experience managing offshore teams – advantage
