Legato, a legal services company, aiming to revolutionize the way legal services are provided to tech startups, is looking for a Corporate Legal Counsel. This is an amazing opportunity to disrupt the old-fashioned legal services market and join a promising business at an early stage. If you consider a transition from a big law-firm to a legal department of a tech startup, this is for you. You will take part in disrupting the legal function and taking it from the typewriter era to the age of process automation and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive and hands-on legal counsel on all legal matters relevant to tech startups, including commercial agreements (sales and procurement), licensing transactions, and other business and operational matters.
  • Work closely with the management to handle strategic legal matters, identify legal issues, and develop legal strategies and solutions.
  • Build methodologies and procedures and take an active role in structuring and scaling our legal knowledge and services.

Qualifications

  • Collaborative working and great interpersonal skills.
  • At least three years practice as a lawyer in an established high-tech practice of a leading Israeli or US firm.
  • Passion to technology and ability to understand technological processes.
  • Proficient legal experience in technology oriented commercial agreements such as SaaS agreements, and other day-to-day aspects of startups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • LLB or JD from a top-tier law school.
  • Member of the Israeli Bar Association or a US State Bar.
