Location: Israel HQ, Rehovot science park, Hybrid (3 days from office)

Position Summary

IDEA is an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) specializing in electro-optical system design and manufacturing, serving market leaders in the semiconductor, medical devices, and digital/3D printing industries.

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Supply Chain Manager, China Operations (Israel-Based) to oversee all tactical supply chain execution within our critical China manufacturing hub. This pivotal role is the Israel-based operational owner of the process, specifically managing the coordination between IDEA HQ and our Chinese supply chain team, Chen-tech (Idea’s subsidiary). You will ensure the seamless flow of high-quality precision mechanics (primarily CNC machined and sheet metal parts) from our Chinese hub to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, collaborative, and resilient professional with the necessary firmness to drive performance and manage fast-paced international supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations & On-Time Delivery:

• Own and ensure on-time delivery performance from our supply chain hub in China.
• Handle customer order full lifecycle - including review and confirm customer orders, PO Placement, tracking, shipment and delivery confirmation.
• Actively monitor production status identify risks for OTD and take immediate action to mitigate it.

1. Logistics & Fulfillment:

• Coordinate all logistics operations from China, including shipping, customs, and freight forwarding.
• Communicate daily with forwarders and couriers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.

1. Quality & Compliance:

• Execute and enforce the regional Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards at the operational level.
• Lead the documentation and process for returns (NCs - Non-Conforming materials) for non-conforming products when required.
• Lead and manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process for all non-conformances within the China hub, ensuring timely resolution and documentation as per ISO 13485.

1. Data & Reporting:

• Maintain and update operational dashboards and reports on key metrics such as on-time delivery and supplier performance.
• Use data to identify daily risks and operational inefficiencies.
• Maintain and update a list of high risk order lines, report status daily to Global operations manager.
• Review and analyze parts costs and meeting standard cost to ensure profitability.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Manage cross-functional projects with R&D, engineering, NPI, quality control from Israel and China.
• Act as the Israeli point of contact for all supply chain-related matters.
• Work closely with the Global Supply Chain team and other departments to provide real-time updates on order status and supplier performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years in supply chain or manufacturing operations.
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience managing suppliers in China.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end operational lifecycle (PO management, production scheduling, QC, and logistics).
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Chinese (Mandarin) proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems (Priority ERP preferred) and other data management tools.
• CNC machining or precision manufacturing background - significant advantage.
