The Chief Executive Officer reports to the Board of Directors.

COMPANY BACKGROUND

ReSalt is an innovative startup in green construction. It uses unique technology to produce materials such as bricks and tiles from industrial salt waste. Its technology promotes sustainability, circular economy principles, and environmental preservation. ReSalt’s goal is to become a leader in the global green economy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The CEO will be responsible primarily for raising funds and providing overall leadership and direction for the company and will be accountable for its operational performance. This includes responsibility for finance, research and development, leading standardization processes, marketing, sales, and partnerships. The CEO’s primary objective will be to lead fundraising (from VCs and grants) as well as lead the company to significant commercial success and revenue growth.

The CEO will develop and scale the company’s go-to-market capability in focused high-value market segments. He or she will expand the company’s revenue by developing direct sales channels, distribution channels, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships as appropriate.

The responsibilities of the Chief Executive Officer include:

·      Full accountability for building the company's value and for the overall strategic direction, as well as all operations of the company.

·      Further develop and ensure the effective execution of the overall strategic direction for the business.

·      Provide the leadership and vision required to attract, retain, and develop world-class talent.

·      Represent the company in its relationships with the construction industry, global regulatory institutions, major customers, and the public to promote a positive image in the industry and to promote business growth and success.

·      Maintain a good relationship with investors and positively promote the company to the financial community. 

The key objectives for the CEO for the next 1-4 years include the following:

• Raising capital and strengthening the company's financial resilience and supporting sustainable growth.
• Transition a small, technology-focused company into a global, customer-focused company.
• Recruit and develop world-class talent in each critical function where it is needed. Manage an effective management team building process.
• Achieve European and US standards for the company's products.
• Operational growth and efficiency. 

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a strategic operating executive who has demonstrated success in raising funds and introducing pioneering products. The successful candidate must possess a blend of strong intellect, exceptional leadership skills, and results orientation.

·      A track record of success in raising funds and leading start-up companies that introduce pioneering, not necessarily high-tech products (experience in market education is an advantage). We have a strong preference for an executive with proven experience in selling innovative technologies to the construction or traditional industrial sectors.  

·      He/she will have a history of increasingly broad commercial experience and significant experience in marketing and sales.

·      Ability to think strategically about how to position the company for success in the world market and define key benchmarks to measure success along the path.

·      Experience in overseeing the technical development of commercially successful products through achieving a product-market fit.

·      A leader with the ability to attract and retain talent and create a results-oriented culture of high performance, teamwork, open communication, and an extremely high level of organizational awareness.

·      Experience in raising capital and ability to work with the financial and investment industry to build confidence in the company's future.

EDUCATION

The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA degree. An MBA or other relevant graduate degree is desirable, but not required.
