Civan Lasers is a leading laser technology company located in Jerusalem. Our laser technology is used in a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace, and material processing. We specialize in dynamic beam laser solutions based on Coherent Beam Combining Technology, giving manufacturers total control over their laser welding processes.

We are hiring an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our mechanical design team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that offers room for professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Design complex opto-mechanical systems with high precision and tight tolerances.
• Develop advanced mechanical structures, mechanisms, and solutions for next-generation laser platforms.
• Apply engineering design methodologies throughout the product lifecycle: SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR.
• Integrate performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost into all design decisions.
• Produce detailed engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, calculations, and technical studies.
• Lead development from concept and prototype to scalable production.
• Collaborate closely with optical designers and multidisciplinary R&D teams.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized academic institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design within a high-tech environment.
• Strong proficiency in thermal design and flow simulations (CFD).
• Practical experience with machining, casting, and sheet metal manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of structural analysis, FEA, and vibration — advantage.
• Experience in opto-mechanical design — advantage.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM — advantage.
• Good technical English (reading and writing).
