Frontend Platform Team Lead

A company developing a large-scale Backend platform for managing and orchestrating the state of critical infrastructures at massive scale.

The position is based at the company’s offices in Tel Aviv, with the option of working one day per week from home.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing development team in building advanced, scalable software solutions
• Drive the development and maintenance of reusable UI components, design systems, and frontend tools
• Define architecture and optimize UI frameworks for high performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration between applications
• Work with QA to implement testing and automation best practices, ensuring high quality and reliability
• Align with Product Managers to adapt development priorities and plan the roadmap
• Partner with UI/UX designers to deliver intuitive and high-quality user experiences
• Coordinate with Project Managers to track progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery
• Define and enforce frontend best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines
• Stay up to date with market trends and new technologies to drive innovation in UI infrastructure
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility across all UI components
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize frontend build processes to improve developer experience
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of UI libraries

Requirements:

• 5 years of hands-on Frontend development experience
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, including state management solutions
• Minimum 3+ years of experience leading a development team of 4+ developers, including hiring, mentoring, and making technical decisions
• Deep expertise in React and frontend performance optimization, including Lazy Loading, Tree Shaking, and bundle size optimization
• Expertise in DOM rendering optimization, minimizing Reflows/Repaints, and improving UI responsiveness
• Experience with unit testing, UI component testing, and end-to-end testing using Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright; experience setting up visual regression testing, component-level tests, and continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Storybook or other UI component documentation tools
