Responsibilities:

·      Be part of Essence R&D Hardware department.

·      Lead the full mechanical design and development of new products, including electronic enclosures, plastic, rubber, and metal parts – from early product definition and concept phase through detailed design, validation, and transfer to mass production.

·      Manage the entire product lifecycle: from Industrial Design (ID) to release, including design reviews (DRs), DFM with vendors, part testing, configuration management, and continuous support for released products.

·      Collaborate closely with hardware, engineering, production, compliance, and quality departments to support both new and existing products in various stages of development and manufacturing.

·      Generate and maintain complete technical documentation: 2D drawings according to GD&T standards, work files for PCBs in collaboration with layout engineers, calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, reports, and change initiation in PLM systems.

·      Support manufacturing locally and abroad, including factory visits, production line support, and troubleshooting.

·        Investigate design and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide corrective actions with full process documentation.

·      Plan and execute mechanical, laboratory, and environmental tests, documenting results and driving improvements.

·       Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers in Israel and overseas to ensure quality, manufacturability, and on-time delivery.

Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics – must.

·      5–7 years of proven experience in mechanical design using SOLIDWORKS – must.

·      Hands-on experience in plastic part design and injection technology – must.

·      Strong background in designing complex multidisciplinary integrated systems, including plastics, sheet metal, CNC, rubber, and PCBs – must.

·      Ability to work independently, with creativity and problem-solving skills.

·      Team player with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and perform under pressure.

·      Experience working with subcontractors and manufacturing facilities in Israel and abroad.

·      Experience in creating and interpreting drawings according to GD&T standards- Advantage

·      Experience in designing acoustic systems (e.g., resonance boxes)- Advantage.

·      Experience in optical and IR systems, including light guides and lenses- Advantage

·      High level of English.
