Mechanical Designer

Role Description: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our innovative R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs and drawings for our recovery systems, ensuring precision, functionality, and manufacturability. You will collaborate closely with engineers, production teams, and other stakeholders to turn concepts into high-quality products, supporting the full product development cycle from concept to production release.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed mechanical designs, CAD models, and engineering drawings.
• Translate engineering concepts and requirements into manufacturable designs.
• Work closely with engineers to refine designs for performance and reliability.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with production to ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and version control of design files.

Qualifications:

• Formal engineering education or equivalent practical experience in mechanical design.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and drafting.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Skills and Attributes:

• Ability to manage multiple design tasks simultaneously.
• Hands-on experience in prototyping and assembly.
• Creative approach to solving technical challenges.
• Background in RC modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with 3D-printed prototyping.
