Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust backend systems that power cutting-edge, AI-enabled security solutions. You will own the complete development lifecycle, from design through deployment, while delivering high-quality, scalable APIs and microservices.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain efficient, reliable APIs and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript (NestJS), following best practices for production environments on AWS.
• Design, develop, and deploy backend systems that are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
• Manage the full development cycle, including planning, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure maintainable, high-quality code that adheres to established standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues, applying rigorous testing to ensure stability and reliability.
• Document architectural decisions, system designs, and implementation details to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Collaborate closely with product, QA, and data science teams to align on requirements and deliverables.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging backend technologies and apply relevant innovations to enhance system performance and security.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with a proven record of delivering scalable, resilient production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (preferably document-based).
• Background in building microservices with Kubernetes or ECS.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs in cloud-based infrastructures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing with NestJS.
• Background in browser extension development.
• Familiarity with generative AI technologies.
