Senior Hardware Engineer – Board Design

One of our clients, a fast-growing and innovative defence technology company based in Tel Aviv, is looking to hire a Senior Hardware Engineer to join its R&D department. This multidisciplinary company, founded in 2017, develops and manufactures advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS) used by military organizations and governments worldwide. Their solutions combine cutting-edge capabilities in hardware, software, computer vision, AI, communications, mechanics, and navigation to redefine the modern battlefield.

As part of the hardware team, you’ll play a crucial role in developing and designing electronic boards — from initial concept through to serial production. You’ll work closely with a small, collaborative team of engineers and contribute to the advancement of high-performance, mission-critical UAS platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electronic circuit boards for integrated systems.
• Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of board designs.
• Create technical documentation to support design, testing, and production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanics, and production.
• Analyze and resolve hardware failures, delivering both short- and long-term solutions.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in board design.
• Proven experience with high-density, mixed-signal board layout including analog/digital circuits, charging systems, Ethernet, RF datalinks, and CPU communication interfaces.
• Track record of bringing hardware products from concept to production.
• Experience working in dynamic startup environments and collaborating with subcontractors.
• Background in multidisciplinary product development, preferably in drones, robotics, or aeronautics – an advantage.
• Defence industry experience – an advantage.

Team Structure: You’ll be part of a three-person hardware engineering team, working under the guidance of the company’s VP of R&D and Engineering.
