PCB Layout Designer

Perform PCB layout design based on electrical schematics and design constraints
Collaborate with hardware and mechanical teams to ensure optimal board performance and fit
Optimize layout for signal integrity, power integrity, EMC, thermal, and mechanical considerations
Generate manufacturing documentation and fabrication packages (Gerber, BOM, assembly drawings)
Interface with PCB manufacturers and assembly vendors during prototype and production stages

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in PCB layout design
Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g. Altium Designer, OrCAD, Allegro, or equivalent)
Experience with multi-layer boards, high-speed signals, and dense layouts
Solid understanding of DFM/DFT principles
Knowledge of IPC standards (e.g. IPC-2221, IPC-7351) – advantage
