Backend Lead

A newly founded startup, led by seasoned entrepreneurs with significant money in seed funding, is developing an AI-driven consumer product in collaboration with leading universities worldwide, set to transform global learning habits and impact millions of users.

The company is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to lead a high-impact core backend team. In this role, you will drive the design, development, and optimization of the backend architecture for a consumer-grade AI application, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build backend services for a high-traffic AI-first consumer application.
• Lead technical decision-making, define best practices, and mentor backend developers.
• Build and optimize APIs, data flows, and microservices to ensure scalability and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver seamless, reliable features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience, preferably at a B2C company with millions of users.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and services.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and database design.
• Excellent learning skills and knowledge of GenAI different models.
• Familiarity with frontend architecture and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).
