About the Role

As an R&D mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in developing products in a multidisciplinary environment. You will be responsible to deliver a full production files  to Engineering department. You will work on various  products and mechanical features while considering critical aspects like design for cost, design for test, accessibility, ease of installation and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical solutions.
• Deliver full production files to relevant departments.
• Hands on in assembly and testing the mechanical solutions in the lab and at the customer site.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives
• Implement efficient improvements.

·      Support Engineering, Operation and field troubleshooting

• Training the FSE team as part of a full training session per product release.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc/PE (Practical Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering – mandatory.
• Up to 5 years of proven experience in R&D environment.
• Experience in developing mechanical product from a concept level
• Team player
• Experience in working closely with all departments (engineering, operation, purchasing etc...) including approaching suppliers and managing sub-contractors.
• Proven experience in working with SolidWorks -– Mandatory
• Ability to travel aboard for Beta sites & support - Mandatory
• Running static and dynamic simulations – an advantage
• Experience in optical design – an advantage
• Working in multidisciplinary environment – an advantage
• Familiarity with the printing industry – an advantage.
• familiarity with manufacturing technologies such as machining and sheet metal – an advantage
• Experience working with PLM tools (e.g., Agile) and PDM – an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Hebrew and English, both spoken and written.
