About the Role:

We are seeking a technically-focused Data Engineer to drive data warehouse management, invoice reconciliation automation, and process optimization. This internal-facing role emphasizes technical data analysis and system automation to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Warehouse Management: Design, maintain, and optimize data warehouse architecture to support cross-departmental analytics and reporting needs
• Invoice Reconciliation: Lead automated reconciliation processes for invoices across the entire group, implementing data validation rules and exception handling workflows
• Process Automation: Develop and deploy automated reporting solutions and data pipelines to eliminate manual processes and improve data accuracy
• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple databases and systems using advanced SQL and data processing techniques
• Build and maintain ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accessibility across departments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or another related analytical field
• 4-6 years of experience in data engineering or related technical analytical roles
• Required: Hands-on experience with data warehouse design, implementation, and management
• Required: Experience with invoice reconciliation processes and financial data automation

Technical Skills:

Core Requirements:

• Advanced SQL proficiency for complex database querying, data manipulation, and performance optimization - required
• Data warehouse management experience with dimensional modeling, ETL processes, and data architecture - required
• Process automation using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) or automation tools - required
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) - required

Highly Preferred:

• PostgreSQL expertise including query optimization, stored procedures, and database administration
• Power Query for advanced data transformation and data modeling
• AWS cloud services experience (RDS, S3, Lambda, Glue) for data storage and processing
• API integration experience for data extraction and system connectivity
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools

• Proven ability to design and implement automated solutions for complex business processes

• Critical thinking skills and ability to identify optimization opportunities in large, complex datasets

Language Requirements:

• Fluent in English (written and verbal) - required
• Hebrew language is not required

Primary Objectives (First 6-12 Months):

1. Invoice Reconciliation Enhancement: Lead the automation and optimization of invoice reconciliation processes across all group entities
2. Reporting Process Automation: Design and implement automated reporting solutions to replace manual data processing workflows
3. Data Warehouse Optimization: Assess and enhance current data warehouse infrastructure to support growing analytical needs

Role Focus: This position is strictly internal-facing with primary emphasis on technical data analysis, system automation, and data infrastructure management.
