Data Analyst

A startup company developing a complex system for monitoring critical infrastructure. The company uses fiber optics to transform the fiber into a network of microphones, enabling detection of activity near the fiber.

Their technology is applied in several areas: infrastructure protection (leak and malfunction detection), border security, and optimization of electricity infrastructure.

The company is based in Tel Aviv near a train line, has around 100 employees, and offers one day of remote work. It collects real-time data from the field and alerts clients to relevant events.

Their customers include the New York Power Authority, the Israel Electric Corporation, and other energy and infrastructure companies across the U.S. Founded in 2017, the company has raised $50M to date.

About the Role-

This is a new position in the Product department. The company is looking for a senior candidate to establish and lead this function, with the expectation of building a small team in the future. The position reports directly to the VP of Product.

Responsibilities-

• Establish and lead a new domain within the Product department
• Take ownership of analyzing large-scale data from energy and infrastructure systems
• Generate reports, insights, and recommendations for clients based on real-time data
• Work closely with customers to understand needs and tailor data-driven solutions
• Collaborate with the Algorithm, Sales, and Product teams
• Improve the accuracy of existing models and translate them into actionable business value
• Combine data analysis, business thinking, and strong customer orientation
• Future opportunity to recruit and lead a small team

Requirements-

• B.Sc. degree in a related field; M.Sc./Ph.D. is an advantage
• Solid background in AI coding and data analysis skills
• Track record managerial experience, leading a data science or data analytics team
• Self-motivated with analytical skills and problem-solving orientation
• Experience in multidisciplinary systems engineering, laser technology,
• Optical fibers, seismic signals, signal processing,
• Strong collaborator with peers; excellent communication and teamwork skills
