Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced backend developer to join our cloud compute team. Our backend developer will be responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of our API-based and database-driven web applications that will drive our software engineering efforts and provide crucial control tools for our customers. Now part of Flexera, Spot optimizes cloud infrastructure to always be highly available and for the lowest possible cost, we revolutionize the way businesses manage their cloud.

Responsibilities:

Develop new product features and infrastructures including testing and debugging complicated problems and algorithms

Writing design and architecture documents, research and finding the best technological solution in terms of scalability, high availability, redundancy

Integrate with all sorts of parts of a system, such as MySQL, Elastic, Redis, AWS services etc.

Strong Collaboration with DevOps, SRE and other development teams.

Requirements:

• Strong fundamental software engineering skills (design patterns, algorithms, data structures)
• At least 6+ years of experience as a backend developer
• Experience in code and design review
• Object-oriented development experience
• Experience working in a cloud-native environment
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Object-oriented development
• Experience in Java, Spring or similar Object-oriented language and frameworks
• Team player with strong social and communication skills
• Experience with code infrastructure's development
• Ability to work independently and lead others if required
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with AWS
• Experience with various databases, such Mysql, Mongo, Elastic search etc.
• Worked in an Agile development environment such as Scrum/Kanban
