What you’ll do:

• Work as part of a highly skilled performance engineering team based in Israel.

• Design, implement, and maintain performance testing frameworks and infrastructure.

• Identify system bottlenecks and analyse application behaviour under various load conditions. • Proactively analyse and optimize the performance and scalability of services deployed on SAP Business Technology Platform.

• Collaborate with development, architects, and product teams to embed performance best practices across the development lifecycle.

• Drive continuous improvement through automation, metrics, and performance dashboards.

What you bring:

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 3+ years hands-on experience in performance/load testing, benchmarking, and profiling of distributed systems.

• Hands-on knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes runtime environments.

• Solid experience with load testing tools such as k6, Gatling, or JMeter (k6 preferred).

• Strong proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language: JavaScript, Go, Python, or Java.

• Deep understanding of performance metrics: throughput, latency, percentiles, resource utilization, etc.

• Practical experience with monitoring, observability, and profiling tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, Dynatrace, or similar.

• Proven experience analysing performance at multiple layers: application, network, infrastructure, container/runtime.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test automation integration, and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Ability to derive insights from traces, logs, and profiling data, and translate them into actionable optimizations.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across the full stack.

• Ability to define KPIs, build dashboards, and communicate performance trends to developers and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with SSE, gRPC, WebSockets, or high-concurrency APIs .advantage

• Understanding of network-level constraints, such as NAT limitations and connection scaling- advantage.

• A mindset for engineering excellence, clean testing code, and test repeatability.

• Self-motivated, curious, and driven to continuously improve system performance.

• Fluent English (written and verbal) and excellent communication skills.
